We cannot look at the poor and the oppressed and callously call them to pull themselves out of their own difficulty. Jesus did not treat us that way. The gospel replaces superiority toward the poor with mercy and compassion. We must work for the eternal and common good and show our neighbors we love them sacrificially whether they believe as we do or not.

Throughout Scripture, we see a picture of God’s heart for the nations to be drawn to Himself and to each other. From the covenant with Abraham, to the barrier of hostility broken down among humankind through the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, to the new heaven and earth where people from every tribe, nation, and language will be united with one voice in praise to the Lord, God’s desire for reconciliation is revealed. We worship a God who guarantees the healing of the nations in the new heaven and earth. This promise compels us to pursue this healing today as a way to bear witness to Christ and the coming Kingdom, all to the glory of God.

Throughout Scripture, we see a picture of God’s heart for the next generation to know Him, grow in faith, and be sent out as His witnesses. From the call to teach His commandments to our children, to Jesus inviting the little ones to come to Him, to the early church raising up young leaders to carry the Gospel forward, God’s desire for discipleship and spiritual maturity across generations is evident. We worship a God who calls us to sow seeds of faith, nurture growth, and equip students to live boldly for Christ. This mission compels us to invest in the lives of students today, guiding them to build their identity in Christ and preparing them to impact the world for the Kingdom, all to the glory of God.

We strive to reflect God’s heart for the sanctity and dignity of every human life. From the creation of humanity in His image, to His care for the vulnerable and oppressed, to Christ’s sacrificial love on the cross, God’s affirmation of life is clear. We worship a God who knit us together in the womb and knows each of us by name, a God who upholds the value of every person from conception to natural death. This truth compels us to honor and protect life in all its stages, to speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves, and to embody Christ’s love and compassion for all, all to the glory of God.
